Some key messages we believe in:

• the need of voices to choices paradigm shift, reframing power dynamics (vertical shift)

• the need to address ecosystemic crises with ecosystemic responses and diversity of actors (horizontal shift)

• the need to transform the current humanitarian system to fit with a sustainable and equitable future

• the need to resist to the rising of political/business instrumentalisation of humanitarian aid by most influential state, private actors, GAFAM, etc.

These messages and the consideration that IARAN could develop more influence to promote the paradigm shifts, encouraged us in 2019 to design and promote a vision and to enlarge /adapt our mission, roles and target and model, in order to define the next step of our journey.

Collaborative design is the core engine of the IARAN evolution and the existing fellows’ network is the starting point for any other functionality that IARAN may evolve to in a more distant future.
